Its your story, but here's a little about me
Hello!
I am Julian Shierry a photographer and native North Texan. I am newly married and have just recently relocated out East to live our country dream and try our hand at homesteading! When I am not taking pictures, you will find me spending time with my wonderful big family, walking with our doggo, rummaging through my garden, or in the kitchen baking any number of concoctions.
I think one of the coolest parts of my job is my opportunity to connect with so many different people. I have learned and shared so many stories with a camera in the middle.
Ultimately I believe the relationships I form with my clients are what create galleries full of beautiful moments. It's my goal to make getting your photo taken feel more comfortable and enjoyable. Live your life, I am here to snap a few shots.

WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
As a young girl, I started by zooming and focusing my Mom's DSLR on blades of grass after a small rain. Trying to find the perfect water drop and trying, with shaky success, to have a perfectly sharp picture.
During my High School years, on the streets of my small city, we took picture after picture. Sometimes dressed up in the most fantastical ways I would begin to direct and pose my friends, telling a story became part of my purpose, but practicing and learning was the real fun.
It wasn't until my later years at Texas State University, where I earned my BFA in fine arts with a concentration in photography, that I felt like my style finally came about. More confident in my skills I have been working for myself and using photography as an opportunity to share my work ever since.
Photographing for the past seven years as a side gig has only made me more passionate about what I do. I can easily say that I love it as much as I did when I was shooting grass; though, I am so happy it has evolved to where I am today. Without the couples, families, seniors, and so many others I would not be inspired to continue to share stories.
From behind the lens I watch the achievement of dreams by students, I see parents excitedly anticipate their new babes' arrival, and witness the sweet of surprises of one asking another for a lifetime shared together. I see the beauty in each and every client's story no matter what phase of life they are in. How can you hate this job?
